ABOUT THIS YEAR’S EVENT
SOLSTICE VI, Oakwood Arts’ 6th annual summer benefit art auction, will return to our home in the East End’s historic Oakwood neighborhood at 3511 P Street, taking place the evening of Saturday, June 24th, 2023. SOLSTICE has become the public center of our fundraising efforts and enables us to continue our programming which helps participants develop the digital and technical skills needed to succeed in the creative workforce.
The Art & Entertainment
Featuring a carefully considered live auction of artwork, SOLSTICE has established itself as an annual event that connects local collectors to a diverse range of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. We are excited to welcome back Kelli Lemon & S. Ross Browne as the hosts of this year’s live auction! DJ Mikemetic will be returning for the sixth year in a row to DJ the event!

Throughout the night, we will be offering an open bar and four courses of creatively served finger foods prepared with ingredients from a variety of wonderful local vendors. Celeste Farms shines as the provider of fresh, locally sourced farm-to-table ingredients. Belmont Butchery offers its expertise in selecting the finest cuts of meat with precision and care. G&M Maryland crab cakes are a culinary delight, showcasing their succulent crab meat. Europa Breads, with their masterful baking techniques, contribute artisanal breads throughout the meal. Fat Rabbit ends our meal with a heavenly mixture of cookies and cupcakes. We'd like to thank Amy & Jason Tesauro and Robert Jones, Master Sommelier, for their contribution of wine for the evening. Luke Koftan will return again to bartend offering a selection of specialty cocktails!
