We held a weekly after-school Story Hour, where a guest reader from the community is invited to share a book with elementary-aged students followed by an engaging related art activity. By inviting creative professionals and community members as readers and visiting artists, our focus is to introduce participants to a range of possibilities in creative careers, while encouraging a love for reading and learning with creative tools.
