ARTIST STATEMENT
“As black artists, we do not have the luxury of painting for fun at all times. The social issues and political change we wish to see often overpowers the fun that is associated with everyday painting. In my art, I mostly address social issues and I incorporate bright colors, flowers, gold teeth & other things I enjoy to add some fun to very deep and important messages.”
